i run an automatic symantec update and now cant go online . help ..

had a live update alert pop up for my norton.

i went ahead and ran it.

couldnt access the internet when it was done and restarted.

i have turned my security off for the moment while i ask this.

i went in to the configure programs and set it up to allow any and all access to aol and explorer , but still locks me up when i try and sign on.

a also tried to restore to a couple of days ago and my system tells me i cant restore ..

any advice ??

The first step is uninstalling Symantec crapware, that will cure a lot of problems. However, if you are fond of it then you should be seeking help from Symantec tech support.

i dont care what kind of security i use.

if i uninstall it , what do you suggest from there ?
